Infant Loss Awareness
Infant loss is a grief often carried in silence. For many, this pain is unseen, unspoken, or minimized by others—making it a form of disenfranchised grief. Disenfranchised grief occurs when a loss is not openly acknowledged, socially supported, or publicly mourned, leaving parents and families feeling isolated in their sorrow. On October 12th at 5:00 PM at Aura House, we will gather in honor of Infant Loss Awareness Day to create a space where this grief can be witnessed and held. Together, we will engage in reflection, gentle movement, and moments of remembrance for the little ones gone too soon. This gathering is hosted by Urban Sky Counseling and is designed to provide validation, community, and comfort—reminding every parent and loved one that their grief is real, their loss matters, and they are not alone.
